The majority of us have come across a picture of ourselves from our early twenties and thought “I wish I looked like this again”. And it’s normal. We miss our complexion, our energy, or our bodies. But like the title says, with age comes wisdom, and Kemmi – a Shapermint Gal – has shared some with us that’ll have us feeling happier with ourselves now more than ever.
As we age, we become more confident in not only our looks, but also with ourselves. We learn through life experiences, trials and lessons learned that empowerment and self love comes from within us first. The little things that used to bother us just don’t anymore and we’ve chosen to focus our energy where it matters. We’ve built ourselves up and we plan to stay there.

My name is Kemmi Lee, I’m a native of California, I have 2 daughters – they’re 24 and 26, so they’re grown women, we’re very close. I’m a licensed esthetician, which is skin care.
I’m more comfortable in my skin than I’ve ever been and I came to realize when looking back at photographs of myself – and every woman has a picture that she looks at of herself from 10 years ago, 20 years ago and she says “I wish I looked like this… I thought I was fat back then… or I thought I needed to change something… if I knew I looked that good, I would’ve embraced it more.” So now is the time, I’m the youngest I’m ever going to be and I’m the oldest that I’ve ever been so my job is to just embrace it, just own it and make the most of right now.
Well, empowerment comes from a sense of self, there’s only one of you. You’re born with a unique set of gifts and talents that are all your own, so in being the best you that you can be, you’ll have no competition
